Important Notes About Copy Protection

* If an external device signal (DVD, AV1, AV2) is input, you will not be able to record
contents using an analog VCR. However, you can record TV programs.
* To play the D-VHS contents protected by a copy protection system, connect to the YPBPR
OUTPUT jack on your display (monitor, TV). You can view only in 720p and 1080i
modes.
- If the RGB jack on your display (monitor, TV) is connected, only TV programs can be
viewed and recorded.
* For DVI connections, the external input can be viewed only through an authorized
display (monitor, TV). However, TV programs can be viewed through all devices.
* The availability of viewing and recording TV programs depends on IN/OUT connec-
tions as shown in the table below.
NOTES
If 480p (YPBPR) OUT or RGB OUT is connected to play the D-VHS device through FireWire, the
picture and FireWire control panel will not be viewed. To re-view TV programs, stop D-VHS
playback using the STOP button on the front panel of the FireWire device or on the remote control.
The COPY PROTECTION system is regulated by DTLA (Digital Transmission Licensing Administra-
tor: Responsible for establishing and administrating the content protection system).
