Setting Up Analog Captions (On-Screen Text Messages)

The Analog Captions function operates in either analog RF channel mode or external
signal(DVD, AVI, AV2) mode. (Depending on the broadcasting signal, the Analog
Captions function may operate on digital channels.)

How to Activate or Deactivate the On-screen Captions

1Press the MENU button on the remote control.

Use the Menu Up/Down buttons
to highlight the Preference icon
and press ENTER.
Use the Menu Up/Down buttons
to highlight the Closed Captions
icon and press ENTER.

Use the Menu Up/Down buttons
to alternate between “Caption:
On” and “Caption: Off” and
press ENTER.
4Use the Menu Up/Down buttons to
highlight the Mode icon and press
ENTER.
Select the submenu (CC1, CC2, CC3
or CC4) you want using the Menu
Up/Down buttons and press ENTER.
5Press EXIT
NOTES
The availability of captions depends on the program being broadcast.
You can also alternate among CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4 or OFF by pressing the CAPTION
button on the remote control.
Captions will not appear if CVBS OUT or S-Video is connected in DTV (1080i, 720p, 480p)
mode.
