Turning Your Device On and Off
Turning Your Device On

Note:
Your device’s internal antenna is located along the bottom back of the
device. Do not block the antenna; doing so may affect signal quality
and may cause the device to operate at a higher power level than is
necessary.
Turning Your Device Off
1. Press and hold the
Power/Lock

.
2. At the prompt, touch
Power off
.
Set-up Wizard
The first time you turn on your device, the Set-up Wizard will
prompt you to customize your device. Follow the prompts to set:

Activate
: If your device is not active, touch
Activate
.
2.
Language
: Choose
English
or
Español
.
3.
Google service login
: Set up your Google account on your
device, including Google backup. For more information,
see “Setting Up Your Accounts” on page29.
4.
Account Setup
: Configure access to your online accounts.

5.
My Location
:
Configure your device’s use of location
services. For more information, see “My Location” on
page105.
6.
Backup Assistant
: Register and set up your device with the
free Backup Assistant service. For more information, see
“Backup Assistant” on page37.
Tip:
After the initial set-up, you can always access the
Set-Up Wizard
from
Settings
. For more information, see “Set-up Wizard” on page119.
