Customizing the Sound
The sound settings can be adjusted to suit your personal preference. (Alternatively, you can use one of the “Automatic” settings.)
1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the ……or ††button to select “Sound”, then press the ENTER button.
Press the ……or ††button to select “Custom”, then press the ENTER button.
2. Press the ……or ††button to select “Bass”, “Treble”, or “Balance”, then press
the ENTER button.
3. Press the œœor √√button to decrease or increase the value of a particular
item.
Press the EXIT button to exit.

Choosing a Multi-Channel Sound (MTS) track
Multi-Track Sound
1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the ……or ††button to select “Sound”, then press the ENTER button.
2. Press the ……or ††button to select “MTS”, then press the ENTER button.
Press the ……or ††buttonto select a setting you want, then press the ENTER
button.
Press the EXIT button to exit.
Press the MTSbutton on the remote control to select “Mono”, “Stereo”, or “SAP”.
• Choose Mono for channels that are broadcasting in mono, or if you are having
difficulty receiving a stereo signal.
• Choose Stereo for channels that are broadcasting in stereo.
• Choose SAPto listen to the Separate Audio Program, which is usually a foreign-
language translation.
