●● Δυναμική διεύθυνση ΙΡ σε σχέση με στατική

Αν το δίκτυο απαιτεί μια δυναμική διεύθυνση IP, χρησιμοποιήστε ένα μόντεμ ADSL ή ένα δρομολογητή που υποστηρίζει DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). Τα μόντεμ και οι δρομολογητές που υποστηρίζουν DHCP παρέχουν αυτόματα τις τιμές διεύθυνσης IP, μάσκας υποδικτύου, πύλης και DNS που χρειάζεται η τηλεόραση για να αποκτήσει πρόσβαση στο Διαδίκτυο, οπότε δεν χρειάζεται να εισαχθούν χειροκίνητα. Τα περισσότερα οικιακά δίκτυα χρησιμοποιούν μια δυναμική διεύθυνση IP.

Αν το δίκτυο απαιτεί μια στατική διεύθυνση IP, εισαγάγετε χειροκίνητα τις τιμές διεύθυνσης IP, μάσκας υποδικτύου, πύλης και DNS όταν ρυθμίζετε τη σύνδεση δικτύου. Για να αποκτήσετε τις τιμές διεύθυνσης IP, μάσκας υποδικτύου, πύλης και DNS, επικοινωνήστε με τον Πάροχο υπηρεσιών Διαδικτύου (ISP) που χρησιμοποιείτε.

Αν το δίκτυο απαιτεί μια στατική διεύθυνση IP, χρησιμοποιήστε ένα μόντεμ ADSL που υποστηρίζει DHCP. Τα μόντεμ ADSL που υποστηρίζουν DHCP επιτρέπουν και τη χρήση στατικών διευθύνσεων ΙΡ.

Το πρότυπο Ethernet αφορά ένα τοπικό δίκτυο (LAN) που χρησιμοποιεί ομοαξονικά καλώδια και είναι τυποποιημένο από την IEEE.

●● Σύνδεση σήματος συνιστωσών

Οι συνδέσεις σήματος συνιστωσών χρησιμοποιούνται κυρίως για κονσόλες παιχνιδιών και μεταδίδουν το σήμα βίντεο διαχωρίζοντάς το σε σήμα λαμπρότητας (Υ) και δύο χρωματικά σήματα (Pb και Pr). Η υποδοχές στο πίσω μέρος της τηλεόρασης επισημαίνονται ως [Component IN]_(Pr, Pb, Y). Σε ορισμένες συσκευές, επισημαίνονται μερικές φορές ως Cr, Cb, Y. Τα σήματα Cb και Cr είναι οι ψηφιακές μετατροπές των σημάτων Pb και Pr.

Οι υποδοχές κανονικά έχουν τη χρωματική κωδικοποίηση κόκκινο (R), μπλε (B), πράσινο (G) και προσφέρουν την καλύτερη δυνατή ποιότητα εικόνας για μια αναλογική σύνδεση.
