buttons during play to scan the disc at high speed. When the desired section of the disc is found, release the button. Normal play will resume.

The ultimate
When the data buffer is filling, the disc will turn at normal speed. After the data buffer has been filled the disc will turn slower and then stop (conserving battery life). The data stored in memory continues to be decoded. After the buffer has been emptied the disc will begin to turn again.
