*1: About the CompactFlash

This digital camera can use both CompactFlash and Microdrive cards for data storage. This manual is written with the premise that CompactFlash cards are used. In this manual, CompactFlash and Microdrive cards are both referred to as “card”.

*2: Shooting in the BASIC mode

In the BASIC mode, the Scene Select function—whereby simply by selecting one from a short list of shooting conditions, the suitable settings are automatically completed—is available. Also, only the necessary shooting settings are displayed, making it easy even for the novice photographer to enjoy using this digital camera.
