ADJUSTING THE IMAGE QUALITY
Changing the data size (compression rate) [v] [x]
You can set the compression rate for the captured image data. When you increase the compression rate setting, the data size becomes smaller even for pictures taken at the same resolution; at a lower compression rate, the best image quality is ensured.
1 Display the Shooting Settings screen (see page 35).
2 Select the compression rate menu.
3 Select the desired compression rate from the compression rate menu.
œPress [c] on the arrow button to select the rate.
D: Image data is stored at low compression (high quality).
G: Image data is stored at moderate compression (normal quality)

4 Press the [SET] button.
œThe selected compression rate is set.
BTo exit the Shooting Settings screen, press the [MODE] button.

œThe compression rate setting is retained until you change it.
