seconds, wait at least 1 minute before attempting to crank the vehicle again. This permits the internal battery to cool down.

9.After engine starts, turn OFF the PP-18400CI.

10.Disconnect clamps in this order: negative black ( - ) and then posi- tive red ( + ). Store clamps on each side of the case.

11.Charge the PP-18400CI as soon as possible after jump-starting.

*NOTE: In the rare case of jump- starting a vehicle that has a positive- grounded vehicle electrical system, connect the NEGATIVE black clamp (-) to the negative terminal of the ve- hicle battery. Then connect the POSI- TIVE red clamp (+) to an unpainted and unmoving part of the vehicle chassis or engine block. If you are unsure of the nature of the vehicle’s electrical grounding system, check the owner’s manual of the vehicle. To disconnect clamps, reverse order.

POWERING A 12 VOLT DC DEVICE

The PP-18400CI is a power source for all 12 volt DC accessories equipped with a 12V accessory plug. Ideal for power out- ages, fishing excursions, camping trips, tailgating parties, etc. Important: Use accessories requiring no more than 15 amps. If the 12V DC device draws more than 15 amps, the circuit breaker will trip. If the circuit breaker trips, it will automati- cally reset.

To operate a 12V DC device:

1.Make sure the device to be powered is OFF.

2.Open the protective cover of the 12V DC power outlet on the front panel of the PP-18400CI.

3.Plug the 12V DC power cord of de- vice into the 12V DC power outlet, and turn ON the 12V DC device (if needed).

4.Charge the PP-18400CI as soon as possible after each use.

NOTE: Because the DC power out- let is internally wired directly to the internal battery, extended operation of a 12V DC device may result in excessive battery drain.
