Connection Diagram
Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation.The following diagram illustrates one of the various connection options that are available to you.
1. | Power down your PC and unplug it from the |
| power source. |
2. | Connect the active RF coaxial cable to the |
| connector on the back of the cable modem labeled |
| CABLE IN. Use an optional cable signal splitter |
| to add a TV, a DHCT or |
| VCR. |
3. | Connect either the Ethernet port or the USB port |
| on the back of the cable modem to your PC using |
| the appropriate supplied cable. |
4. | Insert the power cord into the power supply on |
| the back of the cable modem, and then plug the |
| cord into an AC power source. |
5. | Plug in and power on your PC. |
6. | Configure the TCP/IP protocol, or install the USB |
| drivers from the supplied diskette, whichever is |
| necessary for your system. |
