Before you begin

Verify that the system is switched off and discon- nected from main power before any installation is attempted.

Protect yourself, the drive, and your valuable pro- grams and data by reading the following cautions and warnings.

Do not tamper with sealed top cover. Doing so voids your warranty. The drive contains no user service- able components. See Product Repair section for more information.

Visually inspect the shipping container for any obvi- ous damage.

Verify all parts listed on shipping bill are received with the equipment. Discrepancies or damage should be reported to the shipping company.

Inspect drive for possible shipping damage. All claims of this type should be filed promptly with the trans- porter involved. Save original packing materials to be used when reshipping.
