HOW TO CHARGE AND START THE WATCH
l When you s tart th e watch or wh en the energy in the rechargea ble bat tery i s
reduced to an extr emely low level, c harge it suf ficiently by exp osing the watc h
to light.
l Instant-star t function:
When the wa tch is exposed t o sunlight or stro ng artifi cial light (of mor e than
1,000 lux), i t will star t operatin g immediatel y with the second han d moving at
2-second interva ls.

artificial light.
When the watch has stopped operating, the second
hand will start moving at 2-second intervals.
2. Keep th e watch exp osed to the light until the
second hand moves at 1-s econd inter vals.
3. Wh en th e w at ch is ch ar ged a ft er it ha s
complet ely s toppe d, s et th e dat e an d tim e
before wearing the wat ch.

NOTES:
1. When the instant-start function is activated after the watch is exp osed to light,
the second hand starts moving at 2-second intervals immediately, but the energy
stored in the rechargeabl e battery is no t sufficient. If the watch is turned away
from the light, it may stop operating.
2. It is not ne cessary to charge the watch fully. It is important, ho wever, to charge
the watch sufficiently, especially in case of initial ch arge.

l When exposing the w atch to sunlight to cha rge it, do no t leave it on the
dashboard of a car, etc. for a l ong time, as the watc h temperature be comes
extremely high.
l Whi le ch arging the watc h, ma ke su re th e wat ch t empera ture does not
exceed 50 °C. (For Ca l. V110, V145, V181 and V182)
l Whi le ch arging the watc h, ma ke su re th e wat ch t empera ture does not
exceed 60 °C. (For Ca l. V111)
