TheSK1013-6is poweredbythreebatteries,whichcanbe eitherrechar- geableor non-rechargeableTwo. chargingcontactsarelocatedon theside of the unitwhenrechargeablebatteriesarebeingusedtheycanbe rechargedbyconnectingtheSZL1011-2chargingunitto thesecontacts.

Thetransmittercanbeoperatedeitherwithalkali-manganesedry batteries (lECLR6) or withrechargeableNiCdbatteries(1.2V/500 mAhsinter accumulators)In. thecaseof dry batterieswestronglyadvisethat you use thealkali-manganesetype,asthe performanceof thetransmittercannotbe guaranteedwhenothertypesof dry batteriesareused.Whenthetrans- mitterisusedfrequently,however,it ismoreeconomicalto userechar-

geableNiCdbatteriesThesebatteriescanberechargedwiththeSZL.1011-2

chargingunit.Forthis purposetheSK1013-6isfittedwithtwo contacts6 onthe sideof its housingwhichmakeit possibleto chargethebatteries withoutremovingthemfromthe unit.Dependingonthetypesof batteries usedthetransmittercanbe operatedfor differentlenghtsof timebefore changingor rechargingthe batteries:
