Shouldyou wishto inputaudiosignalsIrom a tapedeckor cassette recorderto the transmitter,in additionto the spakenword,thenyoucan connecttheseunitsto the 3.5 mm phonosocket2. IIa microphoneisalso connectedit isswitchedoff automaticallywhenyou inserta jackintothe phonosocket.
IIpossibleusethe record/playbacksocketwhenyou areconnectingyour cassetterecorderor tapedeckto thetransmitter.II onlya headphonesor loudspeakersocketisavailable,then pleasenotethat the phonoinputis onlydesignedlor audiosignalvoltagesbetween75 mVand1.5V.IIthis voltageisexceededlor a briefperiodthe overloadislevelledout bya high- qualitylimitingamplilier.Evenso,suchoverloadsshouldbekeptto an absoluteminimum.You canreducethe inputlevelbyturningdownthe volumecontrolonyour cassetterecorderor tapedeck.
Adjusting the Sensitivity of the Microphone and Phono InputsAnadjustmentknob4 withwhichyou canadjustthesensitivityof the microphoneor phonoinputto the levelof the inputsignalis locatedunder

In additionto the manualadjustmentoptionthe transmitterisalsoequippedwithanautomaticlevelcontrolsystem,which automaticallyreducesthe inputsensitivitywhenthe rateddeviation(the valueat whichtheIrequencydeviation01thetransmitterreaches::t 8 kHz) is,exceeded,thus preventingoverloading.
