Input the 4-digit password by using 0–9.
The V-CHIP SET menu displays.
Press / to select (LOCKS).
Press /. The password entering menu
displays.
Press / to select “TV RATING”. Then
press / to select the desired rating.
• When you select TV-Y7, TV-PG, TV-14 or
TV-MA, “DISPLAY TO SET CONTENTS”
will appear on the screen. Press DISPLAY
to explain the rating. Press / to select
the desired rating you want. Press / to
select the setting “ON” or “OFF”. Then press
RETURN.

How to temporarily release the
V-CHIP block
The V-CHIP block is working and censors
a broadcast, “THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN
BLOCKED!” displays.
Reactivating the temporarily
released V-CHIP block
You can reactivate the temporarily released V-CHIP
block as shown below.
Method 1:
Change to the other channel.
Method 2:
Switch off the TV power.
NOTE
• Performing any of the two above will activate the V-CHIP
block.
Press MUTE while the V-CHIP is working
and then the password entering menu
displays.
Enter your 4-digit password with 0–9.
At this time V-CHIP block temporarily
releases.
Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.
Your setting are now set into memory.
