Switching on/off

Turning on/off the power

1Turn on (;)/off (a) the MAIN POWER switch on

the rear of the TV (Page 7).

2To turn on/off the TV, press <a on the TV

or >a on the remote control unit.
NOTE
When turning off the power using the MAIN POWER
switch on the rear of the TV, EPG data will be lost.
Standby mode
ETo standby mode
If the MAIN POWER switch on the rear of the TV is
turn on (;), you can switch it to standby by pressing
<a on the TV or >a on the remote control
unit.
ESwitching on from standby
From standby, press <a on the TV or >a
on the remote control unit.
NOTE
If you are not going to use this TV for a long period of
time, be sure to remove the AC cord from the AC outlet
or turn off (a) the MAIN POWER switch on the rear of
the TV (Page 7).
A small amount of electric power is still consumed even
when the MAIN POWER switch is turned off (a) (Page
7).

*Important information:
Satellite services are only available for the 830 model
series.

If multiple satellite services are set, each time you press

Selecting an external video source

Once the connection is made, press b to display
the “INPUT” screen, and then press b or a/b to
switch over to the appropriate external source with

You can also select an external video source from “CH
list” > “INPUT”.
Only HDMI inputs which are not set for “Input skip”
(Page 43) and properly connected inputs can be selected.
