Tape Recording

Recording on a cassette tape

Before recording:
"When recording important select ions, make a preliminary test to
ensure that the desired material is properly recorded.
"SHARP is not li able for damage or l oss of your recor ding arising
from malfunction of this unit.
"The volume and sound controls can be adjusted with no effect on
the recorded signal (Variable Sound Monito r).
"For recording, use only normal tapes. Do not use metal or
CrO tapes.
"Do not use C-120 tapes or poor-quality tapes, as they may cause
malfunctions.
!Recording from a disc
Erase-prevention tab of cassette tapes:
"When recording on a cassette tape,
make sure that the erase-prevention
tabs are not removed. Cassettes have
removable tabs that prevent acciden-
tal recording or erasing.
"To protect the recorded sound, re-
move the tab after recording. Cover
the tab hole with adhesive tape to
record on the tape without the tab.
1Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
2Press the FUNCTION button until "CD DISC" appears on
the display.
When operating with the remote control, press the CD button.
3Load the desired disc.
4Load a cassette into the cassette compartment with the
side to be recorded on facing you.
Wind past the leader of the tape, on which recording cannot be
performed.
5Press the button.
6Press the button, which also
engages the button.
7Press the button again to cancel the pause mode.
8Press the ( ) button to start recording.
