Logging handsets onto a telephone system
Open the logon window with the second telephone.
An "Optiset E" Hicom telephone is used here by way of
example to demonstrate the procedure:
Take your handset and log it on to the system
(see page 23).
* The display may differ slight ly depending on the telephone used as Optiset de-
vices support 24 characters and handsets 16 characters.
e.g. ... Enter the code for activating the code
no. e.g. "O24".

number, e.g. "45678".
For network-wide code no.: terminate
code no. with "#".

e.g. ... Enter the handset code no. (PIN E1),
for example, "13579".

e.g.
The handset call number is displayed.
e.g. ... Confirm the disp layed handset
number by re-entering it, e.g. "45678".
Do not terminate with "#".
The ring tone sounds briefly. The log-on window opens for 10 minutes when the ring tone is no longer audible.
Note:
The logon window is automatically closed if the handset
is not logged on as de scribed abov e within 10 minu tes. In
this case, you must repeat the procedure.
