Switching the device on and off

>> To switch the device on, turn the Off/volume regulator a clockwise over a small resistance.

>> To switch the radio off, turn the Off/volume regulator a anti-clockwise, and over the small resistance, until it comes to a stop.

Receiving radio transmissions

>> Using the frequency range switch FM/AM o, select the required waveband:

>> FM

= Very High Frequency (VHF),

>> AM

= Medium Wave (MW).

>> For VHF reception, extend the telescope aerial y to its full length and then determine its best positioning.

>> The device has a built-in aerial for the reception of MW transmitters. To improve reception, if needed, turn the radio until it is in the most favourable position.

>> Turn the transmitter calibration TUNING i, to receive the desired radio station. Use the tuning scale s for orientation.

>> In the case of VHF transmitters, reception strength is shown by the TUNE indicator e . The brighter it glows, the better the reception.

>> Select the desired sound volume with the OFF/VOLUME regulator a.
