Factory Set

The Factory Set menu option will restore most every feature of the radio to the original factory settings. The following is a list of all features affected by the Factory Set option:

•All Channel Presets are cleared

•FM Transmitter set to ON

•FM Transmitter Preset #1 set to 88.1 MHz

•Display brightness set to 50%

•Display Contrast set to 50%

•Audio level set to -3dB

•Confirmation Tone set to ON

Note that the Channel Lock feature is not affected by the Factory Set option. If a code has been set for the Channel Lock feature, the code will not be reset by the Factory Set feature, preventing someone from circumventing the Channel Lock feature. Channels which have been locked will remain locked.

To activate the Factory Set feature, and restore the above features to their factory settings, do the following:

1.Use the Channel UP/DOWN buttons to display the FACTORY SET menu option, then press the Select button.

2.Press the Channel UP/DOWN buttons to toggle between the RESTORE? Y(ES) and RESTORE? N(O) screens (see Figure 57). When the RESTORE? Y(ES) screen appears, press the Select button.
