Learning the Features

The best way to learn and explore the many exciting features of the Sirius S50 is by trying it. Experience for yourself how the Sirius S50 will enhance your SIRIUS satellite radio listening pleasure! Press the buttons, turn the Media Dial, change the settings. Find out what that Love does, and see how easy the Sirius S50 is to use. If you change any settings you can easily reset the unit by accessing the Reset Defaults feature in the Setup menu. So go ahead, take the Sirius S50 out for drive.

Listening Environments

The Sirius S50 functions in two distinct listening environments, Live and Playback.

Live

In the Live environment, the Sirius S50 plays the SIRIUS channels, as they are being broad- cast. To use the Live mode, the Sirius S50 must be in a dock which is connected to the antenna. The live environment allows you to browse and select the SIRIUS channels, and find information about the songs, artists, sports, news, weather, traffic, or other entertainment be- ing broadcast. You can also save songs and shows for later playback.

While in the live environment, the broadcast to which you are listening is put into a replay buffer temporarily, up to the most recent 30-60 minutes (depending upon the content of the broadcast). At any time you may rewind to repeat something you just heard or you may press Play/Pause to pause the live broadcast. You may resume listening to the broadcast at any time, beginning from the point where the broadcast was paused, or you can fast-forward or rewind through the replay buffer, pause the replay buffer again, or return to the live broadcast.
