If You Cannot Connect to the Internet• Check that your computer is properly configured for TCP/IP. See
“Configuring the TCP/IP Protocols” on page 11.
• Make sure the correct network adapter driver is installed for your
operating system. If necessary, try reinstalling the driver.
• Check that the network adapter’s speed or duplex mode has no t been
configured manually. Note that it is recommended to set the adapter to
auto-negotiation when installing the network driver.
Port And Cable AssignmentsCaution: Do not plug a phone jack connector into any RJ-45 port. Use
only twisted-pair cable with RJ-45 connectors that conform with FCC
standards.
An Ethernet twisted-pair link segment requ ires two pairs of wires. Each
wire pair is identified by two different colors. Each wire pair must be
attached to the RJ-45 connector in the orientation detailed below.
The RJ-45 Ethernet port on the TigerAccess Extended Ethernet CPE is
an MDI port, which means you must use a cross- over cable when
connecting to like devices (MDI to MDI). For connection to hubs or
switches that have MDI-X ports, a straight-through cable must be used. In
