Configuration
This section describes the configuration procedure in a Windows
environment. When you install the Windows driver, the
configuration utility is also installed. You can run this utility by
clicking on the Properties button for the card in the Network
control panel applet. Using this utility you can peform the following
procedures:
View the adapters status.
Configure the adapters advanced properties, such as link
parameters and Jumbo Frame support.
Network Card Information
Select the Properties tab in the utility window to view the network
card status information and to set a locally administered network
address.
Auto-Negotiation
This field lets you set the speed, duplex capabilities and flow
control for the adapter. If auto-negotiate is chosen, the adapter
compares capabilities with its link partner and chooses settings
common to both. The adapter will try to use the settin gs specified
on the configuration page first. If the link partner cannot match
these settings, lower settings are tried . If the link partner has a fixed
