NO intente realizar ningún mantenimiento, ajuste o servicio con el motor y la cuchilla en funcionamiento. DETENGA el motor y la cuchilla. Desconecte el cable de la bujía y asegure el extremo del cable lejos de la bujía. El motor y los componentes están CALIENTES. Evite quemaduras graves, permita suficiente tiempo para que todos los componentes se enfríen.

Servicio de mantenimiento de la cor- rea

En los cortacésped autopropulsados, la correa del motor transmite la potencia desde el motor hasta la transmisión que impulsa las ruedas traseras. Si la correa se desgasta, esto podría causar deslizamiento, lo cual perjudicaría el funcionamiento del cor- tacésped. La condición de la correa del motor debe revisarse después de cada 25 horas de operación del cortacésped.

Reemplazo de la correa de transmisión del motor

1.Vacíe el tanque de combustible.

2.Desmonte la cuchilla (A, Figura 21). Consulte la Sección titulada "Afilado de la cuchilla".

3.Remueva los herrajes (B) que aseguran la cubierta (de dos piezas) de la correa debajo de la plataforma. Desmonte la cubierta.

4.Desmonte la cubierta trasera del cortacésped. Consulte la sec- ción titulada "Desmontaje e Instalación de la Cubierta Trasera".

5.Para reemplazar la correa:

a.Remueva los herrajes (B, Figura 22) que aseguran la guía de correa (A) al conjunto de la transmisión. Remueva la guía de la correa.

b.Desmonte la correa fuera de la transmisión y de las poleas del motor, observando el enrutamiento de la correa.

c.Reemplace la correa.

d.Coloque nuevamente la guía de correa en la transmisión.

6.Coloque nuevamente las cubiertas y la cuchilla.

Nota: El torque de apriete recomendado para la cuchilla es: 40 pies-lbs.
