Troubleshooting

If you experience trouble with your unit, first check the following items. Should your unit still not operate properly after you have made these checks, consult your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility.

The unit will not turn on.

• The size AA alkaline dry batteries are completely dead.

 

c Replace them with new size AA alkaline dry batteries.

 

• You are using batteries other than the recommended ones.

 

c Use the recommended batteries.

 

• The supplied AC power adaptor is not connected to a wall

 

outlet (mains) properly.

 

c Connect it properly.

c Replace the batteries with new ones.

cUse the supplied AC power adaptor.

The exclusive modem card is not inserted.

cInsert the exclusive modem card properly and turn on the power again.

A malfunction has occurred in the exclusive modem card or in the unit.

cTurn the power off then on again. If this is not possible, contact your nearest Sony dealer.
