Self-diagnosis function

If the self-diagnosis function is activated to prevent the camcorder from operating abnormally, the five digit service number (combination of an alphabet and figures) flashes in the viewfinder or display window. In this case, check the following table.

• Moisture condensation has occurred.

 

mRemove the cassette and leave the camcorder for at least

 

1 hour. (p. 52)

• The video heads are dirty.

 

mClean the heads using the Sony V8-25 CLH cleaning

 

cassette (not supplied). (p. 53)

• The camcorder does not operate when using a battery that

 

is not an InfoLITHIUM battery.

 

mUse an InfoLITHIUM battery. (p. 6)

C31

• To prevent the camcorder from operating abnormally, the

 

self-diagnosis function has come on.

 

mRemove the cassette and insert it again, and then operate

 

the camcorder. (p. 10)

mDisconnect the power cord of the AC power adaptor or

 

remove the battery pack. After reconnecting or

 

reattaching the power source, operate the camcorder.

facility, inform the service number with five digits.
