The following items can be set:
Setup
•Clock (page 10)
•Beep — to turn the beeps on or off.
•AUX Skip*1 (page 29) — to turn the AUX source display on or off.
Display
•Dimmer — to change the brightness of the display.
–Select “AUTO” to dim the display only when you turn the lights on.
–Select “ON” to dim the display.
–Select “OFF” to deactivate the Dimmer.
•Contrast — to adjust the contrast if the indications on the display are not recognizable because of the unit’s installation position.
•AutoScroll*2
–Select “ON” to scroll all automatically displayed names.
–When AutoScroll is set to “OFF” and the disc/track name is changed, the disc/track name does not scroll.
PlayMode
•Local (Local Seek Mode) (page 16)
–Select “ON” to only tune into stations with stronger signals.
•Mono (Monaural Mode) (page 16)
–Select “ON” to hear FM stereo broadcast in monaural. Select “OFF” to return to normal mode.
•IF switch AUTO/WIDE (page 16)
–Select “AUTO” for the unit to narrow the receivable frequency and automatically to avoid noise.
–Select “WIDE” for the unit to widen the receivable frequency.
SoundTuning
•EQ7 Tune (page 26) — to adjust the equalizer curve.
•HPF (High pass filter) (page 27)
•LPF (Low pass filter) (page 28)
•Loudness — to enjoy bass and treble even at low volumes. The bass and treble will be reinforced.
•AUX Level*3 (page 29) — to adjust the volume level of connected auxiliary equipment.
*1 Displayed only when the clock is displayed by pressing (OFF).
*2 Displayed only when CD, or MD is playing back. *3 Displayed only when the source is AUX.
Note
Only when an optional CD/MD unit is not connected, “AUX Skip” and “AUX Level” are displayed.
1 Press (MENU).
To set “AutoScroll,” press (MENU) during CD/MD playback.
2 Press < or , repeatedly to select the desired item.

4 Press M or m repeatedly to select your desired items to be adjusted.

6 Press M or m repeatedly to select the
desired setting (Example: “ON” or “OFF”).
7 Press (ENTER).
The display returns to the top menu display.
8 Press (MENU).
The display returns to the normal display.
