Connection

Watching on a TV

The pictures played on the player will be watched on a TV by connecting the player and the TV as shown below. You need a plug adaptor to connect the VIDEO jack. Refer to the operating manual supplied with the TV connected.

1Connect the TV.

Plug adaptor (PC-221HM or PC-221M, not supplied)

2Set the LINE SELECT switch to OUT.

To set the picture size to the TV screen

The picture size is set to 16:9 in the default setting. If the TV screen is 4:3, select the setting in [TV TYPE] under [SCREEN SETUP] (page 42).

To set the color system to the TV screen

Select the appropriate setting in [COLOR SYSTEM] under [SCREEN SETUP] ( page 42).

Note

The Setup menu screens or characters on the screen may look compressed in the vertical direction when the video cord is connected when:

-[COLOR SYSTEM] is set to [PAL].

-[COLOR SYSTEM] is set to [AUTO], and playing a PAL system disc.

This does not indicate a malfunction of the player.
