Uninstalling the software
When the software becomes unnecessary, remove the software from your computer’s hard disk as follows:

2 Open the “Printers and Faxes” (Windows XP Home Edition/XP Professional only) or “Printers” from the “Control Panel”.

The confirmation dialog box is displayed.
4 Click “Yes”.
The relevant files are removed from your computer’s hard disk.
Printing from an application software
You can use the “Print ”command of an application software to print an image from your computer with the Digital Photo Printer
When using the Windows XP Home Edition/Professional, you can use My Pictures to print an image (page 73).
Notes
•Before printing, make sure to connect the USB connectors of the printer and the computer. If you connect it after you start printing, the printer or the computer may not work properly.
•This section explains the settings and operations with a typical application as an example. Depending on the application, print settings and operations may differ. For the details, refer to the manual of your application.
•The dialog boxes in this section are those in Windows XP Professional. They may differ depending on the operation system.
•To obtain the expected print performances, we suggest you use an application software that allows you to check the print preview. Use the application software to make the image size to 1644 x 2466 (dots) for the Post Card (4 x 6 inch) size, 1464 x 2064 (dots) for the 3.5 x 5 inch size, and 1137 x 1516 (dots) for the Small (3.5 x 4 inch) size. Also make the resolution to 403 dpi. Even after these adjustments, an image may be cut off or proper printed performances may not be obtained depending on the application software you use. If this occurs, adjust the image size smaller.
