Shooting close-ups (Macro/Close focus)

You can shoot beautiful close-up images of small subjects such as insects or flowers.

1 Touch(Macro) t desired mode t .

(Auto): The camera adjusts the

focus automatically from distant subjects to close-up.

Normally, put the camera in this mode.

(Macro On): The camera adjusts

the focus with priority on close-up subjects. Set Macro On when shooting close subjects.

(Close focus enabled): Use this mode to shoot at even closer distances than Macro recording.

Locked to the W side: Approximately 1 to 20 cm (13/32 to 7 7/8 inches)

Notes

You cannot select (Macro On) when the camera is in Intelligent Auto Adjustment mode.

Macro mode is fixed to (Auto) when the camera is in Movie Mode or Smile Shutter.

Using the self-timer

1 Touch(Self-Timer) t desired mode t .

(Self-Timer Off): Not using the self-timer. (Self-Timer 10sec): Shooting

starts after a 10-second delay. Use this setting if you want to include yourself

in the image. To cancel, touch .

(Self-Timer 2sec): Shooting starts after a two-second delay. This is to prevent blurring due to unsteadiness when the shutter button is pressed.

2 Press the shutter button.

The self-timer lamp flashes and a beep sounds until the shutter operates.
