Displays warnings when trouble with recording or moisture condensation occurs.

mTime counter indicator

Each press of the DISPLAY button switches displays of time code, user bit, and counter. You can display the date or time using the arrow key under the AUDIO adjustment cover.

TCG: Value of time code generator

TCR: Value of time code reader

UBG: Value of user bit generator

UBR: Value of user bit reader

CNT: Counter indicator

CLK: Current time data

DAT: Current date

TCG and UBG can be displayed when the tape is stopped and during recording, and TCR and UBR are displayed during playback.

CLK can be displayed when the center of the arrow key is pressed while TC is being displayed by pressing the DISPLAY button.

DAT can be displayed when the center of the arrow key is pressed while U-BIT is being displayed by pressing the DISPLAY button.

Using the CD-ROM

Manual

The supplied CD-ROM includes versions of the Operation Manual for the DSR-400/450WS in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish in PDF format.

Preparations

The following program must be installed on your computer in order to read the operation manuals contained on the CD-ROM.

• Adobe Reader Version 6.0 or higher

Reading the CD-ROM Manual

To read the operation manual contained on the CD-ROM, do the following.

1 Insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.

A cover page appears automatically in your browser. If it does not appear automatically in the browser, double-click on the index.htm file on the CD-ROM.

2 Select and click on the operation manual that you want to read.

This opens the PDF file of the operation manual.

Memo

The files may not be displayed properly, depending on the version of Acrobat Reader. In such a case, install the latest version you can download from the URL mentioned in “Preparations” above.

Notes

If you have lost or damaged the CD-ROM, you can purchase a new one to replace it. Contact your Sony service representative.
