The Karaoke Star function gives effects to your voice.

You can enjoy karaoke with a stereo-recorded disc, even if it is a non-karaoke disc, by reducing the sound of the vocals.

KARAOKE STAR button and indicator

The indicator lights up when you select a karaoke star mode other than “OFF.”

KARAOKE STAR

Press KARAOKE STAR in karaoke mode.

Each time you press KARAOKE STAR, the effect changes as follows:

,OFF: turns off the karaoke star function m

UNISON: gives the effect of depth to the vocal voice

m

DUET: gives a duet like effect to the vocal voice

m

CHORUS: gives a chorus like effect to the vocal voice

m

OCTAVE UP:raises the tone of the vocal voice by one octave

m

OCTAVE DOWN:lowers the tone of the vocal voice by one octave

The KARAOKE STAR effect is enhanced when you increase the echo level.

zYou can select the Karaoke Star mode using “KARAOKE STAR” in the Karaoke Control Menu display

Select “KARAOKE STAR” in the Karaoke Control Menu display (page 47), select the item using M/m, and then press ENTER.

Select “KARAOKE PON” in the Karaoke Control Menu display (page 47), select “ON” or “OFF” using M/m, and then press

ENTER.

Notes

The stereo effect will be reduced.

This function may not work well in the following cases:

only a few instruments are playing

a duet is playing

the vocals on the disc deviate from the center

monaural-recorded discs (the accompaniment is also reduced)

multiplex discs
