Press MENU t select (DISPLAY SET) using V/v t press EXEC.

DELETE

You can delete the panel profile settings.

1Select [DELETE].

2Select the panel profile you want to delete.

3Select [YES] in the check screen. The panel profile settings are deleted.

RESET

You can restore the default settings for [LCD SET].

1Select [RESET].

2Select [YES] in the check screen. The LCD panel setups are restored to the default settings.

LCD profiles stored on the VCR are retained even when the [RESET] operation is performed.

zTips

The items that can be saved in the LCD profile are set values of [BRIGHTNESS], [CONTRAST], [COLOR LEVEL], [COLOR PHASE], and [SHARPNESS]. You can save these set values all in the LCD profile.

When you move the cursor on the LCD profile stored on the VCR while selecting [LOAD], [PROFILE NAME], or [DELETE], the settings of the LCD profile will be effective on the screen.

When you move the cursor on the LCD profile stored on the VCR and press b, the settings of the LCD profile will be displayed on the screen.

DV WIDE DISP

You can select the desired aspect ratio of the DV format picture displayed on the screen.

BAUTO

Switches the aspect ratio automatically.

WIDE ( )

Sets the aspect ratio to 16:9.

4:3 ( )

Sets the aspect ratio to 4:3.

bNotes

You cannot change the aspect ratio of the HDV format picture and the still image displayed on the screen.

When setting [DV WIDE DISP] to [WIDE] or [4:3] while displaying the color bar, the aspect

ratio of the picture will not change even if or appears.

When capturing a still image to “Memory Stick Duo” from a movie, the DV wide display function does not work for the recorded still image. The aspect ratio of the recorded still image may differ from the image actually displaying on the screen.

The DV wide display function does not work for output signals from the VCR.

You cannot change the current setting while displaying the color bar.

DISP OUTPUTBLCD PANEL

Shows displays such as the time code on the LCD screen.

V-OUT/PANEL

Shows displays such as the time code on the TV screen and the LCD screen.

COLOR BAR

You can display the color bar or record it on the tape by setting to [ON]. It is convenient to adjust the color on the monitor connected (the default setting is [OFF]).

bNotes

This is automatically set to [OFF] when you turn on the VCR at the next time or press REW m/PLAY N/FF M.
