Error indications

If an errors occur when using the unit, the indicators light in certain patterns, as outlined below. When this happens, press the CANCEL/HDD CAPA. button to cancel the error, and then take the appropriate action.

Errors during initialization

	CF		COPY
Lit green	−	−	Lit	Format the “Memory Stick”.
			yellow
Lit green	−	−	Lit red	The “Memory Stick” may be damaged. Use a
				different “Memory Stick”.
−	Lit green	−	Lit	Format the CompactFlash card.
			yellow
−	Lit green	−	Lit red	The CompactFlash card may be damaged.
				Use a different card.
Lit green	Lit green	−	Lit	Eject the “Memory Stick” or CompactFlash
			yellow	card.
−	−	Lit green	Lit	Format the internal hard disk drive on FAT32.
			yellow
−	−	Lit green	Lit red	Contact your dealer or an authorized service
				center.

Errors during copy

Blinking	−	−	Lit	Press the COPY button again to restart the
green			yellow	copy.
Blinking	−	−	Lit red	Reinsert the “Memory Stick”. If the error
green				persists, use a different “Memory Stick”.
−	Blinking	−	Lit	Press the COPY button again to restart the
	green		yellow	copy.
−	Blinking	−	Lit red	Reinsert the CompactFlash card. If the error
	green			persists, use a different CompactFlash card.
−	−	Blinking	Blinking	The number of folders with the same name
				has reached its maximum (999). Delete some
		green	yellow	folders of the same name (page 35).
−	−	Blinking	Lit	Press the COPY button again to restart the
		green	yellow	copy.
−	−	Blinking	Blinking	There is not enough free space on the internal
				hard disk. Delete any unnecessary data to free
		green	red	space (page 35).
−	−	Blinking	Lit red	Contact your dealer or an authorized service
		green		center.
