Using the Menu

bNotes

• [SPOTLIGHT] is set to [OFF] when you set

[BACK LIGHT] to [ON].

• [SPOTLIGHT] is set to [OFF] if all of iris, gain,

and shutter speed are adjusted manually.

zTips

• You can assign this function to an ASSIGN

button (p.43).

xSET

BSTEADYSHOT

You can activate the camera-shake

reduction setting.

ACTIVE STEADYSHOT ( )

You can use the camera-shake reduction

with more powerful effect.

OFF

Select [OFF] ( ) when you use a

tripod (sold separately) to make images

look natural.

xSTEADYSHOT TYPE

You can select a type of camera-shake

reduction for different recording situations.

HARD

Reduces camera shakes considerably.

This setting is not suitable for recording

when you are using techniques like

panning or tilting.

BSTANDARD

Standard camera-shake reduction.

SOFT

Reduces camera shakes moderately. Slight

unsteadiness remains in movies, which

make the movies look as they are.

WIDE CONVERSION

This item is provided for a wide

conversion lens (sold separately), and

especially effective for Sony wide

conversion lens.

xACTIVE STEADYSHOT TYPE

You can select a type of powerful camera-

shake reduction for different recording

situations.

BSTANDARD

Reduces camera shakes more powerfully

while you are walking or moving around.

WIDE CONVERSION

This item is provided for using a wide

conversion lens (sold separately) in

[ACTIVE STEADYSHOT] mode, and

especially effective for Sony wide

conversion lens.

bNotes

• At the [ACTIVE STEADYSHOT] setting, the

imaging field shifts slightly to the telephoto

side, and the resolution will deteriorate slightly,

as well.

zTips

• You can assign an ASSIGN button to work as

[SET] (p.43).

When you set this function to [ON], you

can temporarily focus manually using the

focus ring during the auto focus adjustment.

The default setting is [OFF].

bNotes

• This function is effective only when the FOCUS

switch is set to AUTO (p.30).

You can select the zoom speed for the FIX

position of the handle zoom switch from [1]

(slow) through [8] (fast). The default setting

is [3].
