Step 4: Turning the power on and holding your camcorder properly

To record or play back, set the POWER switch to the respective direction.

When you use your camcorder for the first time, the [CLOCK SET] screen appears (p. 21).

1 While pressing the green button, slide the POWER switch.

Press and hold the green button when you slide the POWER switch from OFF (CHG).

CAMERA: To record pictures.

VCR: To play or edit pictures.

•The current date and time appear on the LCD screen for a few seconds when you turn on your camcorder once you set the date and time ([CLOCK SET], p. 21).

2 Hold the camcorder properly.

3 Ensure a good grip, then fasten the grip belt.

To turn off the power

Slide the POWER switch to OFF (CHG).
