Component video (YPBPR) connection is necessary to view 480i, 480p, 576i and 576p formats. Note that this TV displays all format types of picture in the LCD panel’s native resolution (640 dots × 480 lines). HDTV in its original high resolution of 1920 dots × 1080 lines or 1280 dots × 720 lines cannot be displayed. The message “Unsupported video format” will appear, and a vertically stretched picture may appear when a 720p or 1080i format image is received by component video (YPBPR) connection. Nothing will be displayed when a 1080p format image is received.
