
Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following difficulties while using your Network Walkman, use this troubleshooting guide to help to remedy the problem prior to consulting a Sony dealer. Should any problem persist, consult your nearest Sony dealer. If a problem occurs while connected to your computer, also refer to “Troubleshooting” in the online help of the supplied software.
To reset the player
If your Network Walkman does not operate normally, or if there is no sound, even after checking the troubleshooting guide below,

Any audio files stored in the memory will not be erased by pressing the reset button.
What happened?

There is no sound. | • The volume level is set to zero. |

| • No audio files are stored in the memory. |
| c If “NO DATA” is displayed, transfer audio file(s) from the |

Buttons do not work. | • The Shuttle switch is set to the HOLD position. |
| c Set the Shuttle switch to the center (normal) position (page 30). |
| • Your Network Walkman contains moisture condensation. |
| c Wait a few hours to let your Network Walkman dry. |
| • The remaining battery power is insufficient. |
| c Charge the battery (page 12). |
