Using the Remote Control and Basic Functions

Although the Satellite Receiver’s remote control is preset to operate Sony brand TVs, you can program the remote control to operate other manufacturer’s TVs. This will enable you to operate your TV when viewing regular broadcast TV using the remote control.

Batteries for the Remote Control

Insert two size AA batteries (supplied) into the remote control as shown.

Be sure to match the + and – marks on the batteries with the + and – marks inside the battery compartment.

✍If the remote control is not working properly, the batteries may be worn out. When replacing batteries, replace both batteries. Do not mix different brands and types of batteries. After you replace batteries, you may need to reprogram the remote control.
