System with a Bluetooth Connection

tablet device for the first time, you need to pair the controller with your tablet device.
1. Turn on your tablet device.
2. Tap [ Apps & Widgets] - [ Settings] -[Bluetooth] in that order, and then set [Bluetooth]
to [ON].
3. Connect a controller to the USB Micro-A/B connector of your tablet device using a designated
USB adapter cable (SGPUC1, sold separately) and a commercially available USB cable.

tablet device.
4. Disconnect the controller from your tablet device.
Paring will be completed.
The controller icon displayed at the bottom right of the Home screen changes to an icon that

: The battery has no charge. Charge the controller.
Note
Only one controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system can be connected to your tablet device.
To connect the controller to your tablet device using the Bluetooth function, the controller’s
battery must be charged.
When paring your tablet device and the controller, you must connect them with a wired
connection.
Unlike other Bluetooth devices, the controller will not appear on the paired devices list of the
tablet device [Details].
When a paired controller is used with PlayStation(R)3 or another tablet device, it is unpaired
from the original tablet device.
While using a controller of the PlayStation(R)3 system with a wireless connection, you cannot
use Bluetooth devices that support A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) such as
Bluetooth equipped headphones. If you use both devices at the same time, the sound may be
interrupted.
Hint
When you connect the controller to your tablet device and then tap - [The controller of the
PlayStation(R)3 system is connected] at the bottom right of the Home screen, the “About the
controller of the PS3(TM) system” screen appears. You can establish a Bluetooth connection
