Before you start…
•Turn on the
•When using a decoder, turn it on.
•Insert a tape with its safety tab in place. Make sure the tape is longer than the total recording time.
•Stop the

DATE indicator appears and the current date flashes in the display window.
If the date and time are not set, DAY indicator will appear. To set the date and time, see “To set the clock” on page 55.
