Using Multi-zone Features

Note

You can connect the HDMI ZONE 2 OUT jack directly to a TV in zone 2 (without any amplifier/receiver). It

is recommended, however, that you connect a TV via an amplifier/receiver for higher audio/video capabilities,

reducing possible effects on the main zone. When you select the same HDMI input for both the main zone and

zone 2, the audio/video capabilities in the main zone will be limited in accordance with those in zone 2.

4Making a zone 2 connection using ZONE 2 VIDEO OUT (RJ-45 jack)

ZONE 2 VIDEO OUT (RJ-45 jack) is used only for custom installation by a qualified person.

ZONE 2 VIDEO OUT (RJ-45 jack) is a jack that sends a source video signal to the component

video input for zone2. For details, consult your dealer.

Attention

Do not use this jack for an Ethernet LAN connection. Doing so may cause a malfunction. The router may be

damaged.

The RJ-45 pinouts use the T568B standard. Refer to the illustration below.

Note

CAV-CVB1 (Component Video Balun) must be used. Other types will cause trouble and may void your

warranty.
