Excellent Image Reproduction

The Sony UP-D71XR is a compact, high-speed, high-resolution digital-film imager designed for use with X-ray diagnostic systems, such as mobile c-arm units and dental X-ray systems.

Supporting both 8 x 10 inch Blue Thermal Film and Thermal Printing Paper, it offers photo-quality film and prints with 256-step grayscale. Its use of Sony dry-processing technology eliminates the need for chemical photofinishing.

With a variety of other convenient features packed into its compact body, the UP-D71XR is ideal for use in a wide range of medical applications.

Excellent Image Reproduction

The UP-D71XR incorporates Sony direct thermal-printing technology, which enables photo-realistic prints to be reproduced with a high resolution of 300 dpi (approx.). The imager also offers support for both 8 x 10 inch Blue Thermal Film and Thermal Printing Paper, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

Blue Thermal Film

The new UPT-735BL Blue Thermal Film allows X-ray images to be reproduced extremely clearly, with an optical density of 3.0, equivalent to conventional silver-halide X-ray film. To prevent interference in your analysis of the X-ray image,

this film also offers a haze level of approximately 25%*.

*Transparency is measured with a haze meter.

Precise Gamma Curve Adjustment

The UP-D71XR recognizes the type of media being used - either Blue Thermal Film or Thermal Printing Paper - and automatically adjusts the gamma curve as appropriate to reproduce a precise grayscale.

High-Speed Printing

Ideal for time-critical medical applications, the UP-D71XR offers an impressive printout time of just 45 seconds for an 8 x 10 inch image.

Supports High-Speed Data Interfaces

The UP-D71XR is equipped with SCSI and IEEE1284* interfaces, both of which allow data to be transferred to it at high speed from external devices.

* Supported in ECP (Extended Capabilities Port), Compatible-Nibble and Compatible modes.

Compact and Lightweight Design

At just 16 1/4 x 8 3/8 x 17 inches, W x H x D and a mere 34 lb 3 oz in weight - and with no unnecessary top and side projection ports - the UP-D71XR can be easily mounted on a mobile c-arm cart.
