Selecting Display Modes

You can select which display to be used as the primary monitor when an external display (desktop monitor, etc.) is connected to your computer.

If you want to work on your computer screen and the external display at the same time, see Using the Multiple Monitors Function (page 84) for more information.

To select a display

The monitor port on your computer is disabled when an external display is connected to the HDMI port.

When the computer has an external display connected, you can change the Main/Clone setting as follows:

1Click Start, All Programs, and Catalyst Control Center.

2Click CCC.

3Follow the on-screen instructions to change the settings. See the help file for more information.

You may not be able to display the same contents on your computer screen and the external display or projector at the same time, depending on the type of your external display or projector.

Before turning on your computer, turn on the external display.
