Starting the Wireless WAN Communications

To start the wireless WAN communications

Make sure that the SIM card cover is properly closed, otherwise the wireless WAN function may not work.

1Turn on the WIRELESS switch.

2Click Start, All Programs, and VAIO Smart Network or click the VAIO Smart Network icon on the taskbar.

3In the VAIO Smart Network window, make sure that the switch next to Wireless WAN is On.

4Click the down arrow button next to the Wireless WAN switch and the Connect button to launch your connection manager

software or the preinstalled software from a telecom operator depending on your model or countr y.

5Enter your PIN code when prompted.

6Click Connect.

7If requested, enter the APN information of your telecom operator.
