Why does the LCD brightness change automatically?

The LCD brightness of your computer screen changes automati cally according to ambient light intensity that is mea sured by

the ambient light sensor. To disable the automatic brightness settings, fo llow these steps:

1Click Start, All Programs, and VAIO Control Center.

2Click Display and Automatic Brightness Settings.

3Click to cancel the Adjust brightness automatically check box.

4Click OK.

What should I do if the external display remains blank?

Press the Fn+F7 keys to change the display output. See Combinations and Functions with the Fn Key (page 39) for more

information.

How do I run Windows Aero?

To run Windows Aero, follow these steps:

1Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize.

2Select your desired theme from Aero Themes.
