Important Security Information

Be doubly careful to follow all warning s and special safety inst ructions
noted in this manual a nd on the unit . The followi ng information refers
to modules built into the RackPack f rame.
Connections: Only use the connections as describe d. Oth er conne c-
tions can lead to health risks and equip ment damage.
Water And Humidity: Do NOT use t his machine anywhere near w ater
(for example near a wa sh basin or bath, in a damp cellar, near swim-
ming pools, or the like). In such cases ther e is an extremely high ri sk of
fatal electrical shock s!
Insertion Of Foreig n Objects Or Fluids: NEVER allow a f oreign obje ct
through any of the m achine‘s cha ssis opening s. You c an easily come
into contact with dangerous vol tage or cause a damagin g short circuit.
NEVER allow any f luids to b e spilled or sprayed on t he machine. S uch
actions can lead to dangerous elec trical shocks or f ire!
OPENING THE DEVICE: Open the device only to fit or exchange
modules. T he fitting and/or exchange of module s should only be
carried ou t by quali fied persons. In the light of possible physical
damage or injuries any manipulati on is at your own risk. In order to
avoid any residual voltage, the device should be disconnecte d from
any power source at least 5 minutes prior to opening it. If you handle
the device improperly or ignore the manual (part of the delivery of the
RackPack frame) you risk to damage the device or expose yourself to
an electric shock. In these cases SPL electronics GmbH denie s any
responsibility.
Electrical Power: Run this machine O NLY from sources which c an
provide proper power a t the prescribed rating. When in doubt about
a source, contact your dealer or a prof essional elec trician. To b e sure
you have isolated the machine , do so by disconnec ting the power cord
from your wall conne ction. Be sure that the powe r cord plug is al ways
accessible. When not using the machi ne for a longer period, make sur e
to unplug it from your wall power socket.
Power Cord Protection: Make sure th at your power cord i s arranged to
avoid being stepped on or any k ind of crimping and dam age relate d
to such event . Do not allow any equi pment or furniture to cri mp this
power cord.
Power Connection Overloads: Avoid any kind of overload in con nec-
tions to wall sockets, extension or split ter power cords. Alw ays keep
manufacturer warning s and instruction s in mind. Overloads cr eate fire
hazards and risk of dangerous shoc ks!
