Your board comes with tow DIMM sockets and two SIMM sockets, providing support for up to 512MB of main memory using DIMM modules from 8MB to 256MB;SIMM modules from 4MB to 64MB. For 66MHz host bus CPUs use 12ns or faster DIMM modules; for 83MHz or faster host bus CPUs use 8ns modules.

Step 7. IDE Device Installation (HDD, CD-ROM)

This mainboard offers two primary and secondary IDE device connectors (IDE1, IDE2.) It can support up to four high-speed HDD or CD-ROM.

Connect one side of the 40-pin flat cable to the IDE device (HDD or CD-ROM) and plug the other end to the primary (IDE1) or secondary (IDE2) directionally keyed IDE connector on the mainboard.

This mainboard can support up to four HDDs.

Step 8. Floppy Drive Installation

The system supports 5 possible floppy drive types: 720 KB, 1.2 MB,

1.44MB, 2.88 MB, and LS-120. In addition, this mainboard supports a 3-mode (720KB/1.25MB/1.44MB) floppy commonly used in Japan. Connect one side of the 34-pin flat cable to the floppy drive and plug the other end to the floppy drive connector on the mainboard.

This mainboard can support up to 2 floppy drives.
