C OVE R AG E – T his emission warranty is applicable in all S tates, except the

state of C alifornia.

 

F uji Heavy Industries Ltd. and R obin America Inc., Wood Dale Illinois, (herein “R OB IN AME R IC A”) warrant(s) to the initial retail purchaser and each subsequent owner, that this Nonroad engine (herein “engine”) has been designed, built, and equipped to conform at the time of initial sale to all applicable regulations of the U.S .

E nvironmental P rotection Agency (E P A), and that the engine is free of defects in materials and workmanship which would cause this engine to fail to conform with E P A regulations during its warranty period.

F or the components listed under P AR T S C OVE R E D, the service dealer authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A will, at no cost to you, make the necessary diagnosis, repair, or replacement necessary to ensure that the engine complies with applicable U.S . E P A regulations .

T he warranty period for this engine begins on the date of sale to the initial purchaser and continues for a period of two years .

Listed below are the parts covered by the E mission C omponents Defect W a rra nty. S ome of the pa rts lis ted below ma y require scheduled maintenance and are warranted up to the first scheduled replacement point for that part.

(i)C arburetor and internal parts

(ii)F uel filter, if applicable.

(iii)T hrottle stopper, if applicable.

(iv)C hoke S ystem, if applicable

(2)Air Induction S ystem

(i)Air cleaner plate

(ii)Air cleaner case

(iii)Air cleaner element

(3)Ignition S ystem

(i)S park plug.

(ii)F lywheel Magneto

(iii)Ignition C oil

(4)Miscellaneous Items Used in Above S ystems

(i)F uel hoses, clamps and sealing gaskets

To obtain warranty service, take your engine to the nearest authorized R obin America service dealer . B ring your sales receipts indicating date of purchas e for this engine. T he s ervice dealer authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A will perform the necessary repairs or adjustments within a reasonable amount of time and furnish you with a copy of the repair order. All parts and accessories replaced under this warranty become the property of R OB IN AME R IC A.

WHAT IS NOT C OVE R E D

C onditions resulting from tampering, misuse, improper adjustment (unles s they were made by the s ervice dealer authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A during a warranty repair), alteration, accident, failure to us e the recommended fuel and oil, or not performing *required maintenance services .

*T he replacement parts used for required maintenance services .

onsequential damages such as loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of the engine or equipment, etc.

Diagnosis and inspection charges that do not result in warranty-

Any non-authorized replacement part, or malfunction of authorized *parts due to use of non-authorized parts .

As the engine owner, you are responsible for the performance of the required ma intena nce lis ted in your owner’s ma nua l. R O B IN A ME R IC A re c omme nds tha t you re ta in a ll re c e ipts c ove ring maintenance on your engine, but R OB IN AME R IC A cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of receipts or for your failure to ensure the performance of all scheduled maintenance.

As the engine owner, you s hould however be aware that R OB IN AME R IC A may deny warranty coverage if your engine or a part has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance or unapproved modifications .

Y ou are responsible for presenting your engine to the nearest service dealer authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A when a problem exists .

Y ou are responsible for the proper maintenance of the engine.

Y ou should keep all receipts and maintenance records covering the performance of regular maintenance in the event questions arise. T hese receipts and maintenance records should be transferred to each subsequent owner of the engine. R OB IN AME R IC A reserves the right to deny warranty coverage if the engine has not been properly maintained. W arranty claims will not be denied, however, s olely becaus e of the lack of required maintenance or failure to keep maintenance records .

If other than the parts authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A are used for maintenance replacements or for the repair of components affecting emis s ion control, you s hould as s ure yours elf that s uch parts are wa rra nted by their ma nufa cturer to be equiva lent to the pa rts authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A in their performance and durability.

HOW T O MAK E A C L AIM

All repair qualifying under this limited warranty must be performed by a service dealer authorized by R OB IN AME R IC A. In the event that any emission-related part is found to be defective during the warranty period, you shall notify R obin America customer service department at 1-630- 350-8200 and you will be advised of the appropriate warranty service dealer or service providers where the warranty repair can be performed.
