5-10 Onboard Indicators

LAN1/LAN2 LEDs

The Ethernet ports (located beside the VGA port) have two LEDs. On each Giga- bit LAN port, the yellow LED indicates activity when blinking while the other LED may be green, amber or off to indicate the speed of the connection. See the table on the right for the functions associated with the connection speed LED.

Onboard Power LED (LE2)

An onboard Power LED is located at LE2 on the motherboard. This LED will be on when the system is running.

Onboard Standby Power LED (LE4)

An onboard Standby Power LED is located at LE4. This LED will be on whenever the AC power cable is connected and the power supply hard switch is on. Make sure to disconnect the power cable before removing or installing any components.

Rear UID LED (LE5)

The rear UID LED is located at LE5 on the backpanel. This LED is used in conjunction with the rear UID switch to provide easy identification of a system in a stack.

Unsupported Memory LED (LE3)

LE3 is located next to LE2. When LE3 blinks, it is an indication/warning that unsupported memory is installed in one (or more) of the memory slots.
